Reclaimed timber, made safe for children
Norwood supplies stepping logs, balance logs, log edging and forked wild logs from reclaimed trees for use in playgrounds and other public areas. Every piece is made safe for children, with sharp protrusions removed and surfaces made smooth.
Carefully selected timber is sourced from sustainably harvested forests. Species generally used are Forest Red Gum, Spotted Gum and Ironbark, all Class 1 or Class 2 durability timbers. Logs and steppers can be supplied with bark on or completely removed and made smooth.

Steppers
Average 250–600mm diameter × 800–1200mm long. Set into the ground lengthwise, supplied with bark on or off. Many sizes available.
Logs
Average 250–800mm diameter × 1800–6000mm long. Optional sawn flat face, branch stubs available, rounded ends, bark on or off.
Seat blocks
300 × 300mm and 400 × 400mm in various lengths, perfect for outdoor classrooms and gathering spaces.
